Security

The school operates an effective system for monitoring visitors to the school. All visitors are asked to use the main school entrance when visiting the school in order to sign in and out. There are security cameras at the main school entrance and at 9.00 am allsecurity bell outer school doors are locked. The gates to Key Stage One and the Foundation Stage are only opened for a few minutes to allow nursery parents to collect and deliver their children at appropriate times. All staff members are asked to challenge visitors and to take them to their necessary destination.

The Car Park gates are locked every morning and afternoon whilst the children are entering and leaving school to ensure that vehicles do not attempt to enter or leave the school site at these times. All delivery vanouter doors are now secured with electrically operated roller shutter doors, which are brought down as soon as possible after the end of the school day.

Fire procedures are in place throughout the school and a fire drill following these procedures is carried out annually.

The site Supervisor, Mr Jinks, regularly ‘walks the school’ to ensure that all Health and Safety issues are promptly dealt with and to ensure that the school site complies with all Health and Safety legislation.
