Professional Development of School Staff

In any school, a vital element is ensuring that all staff, whether they are teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors, administration staff or cleaning staff, are kept up-to-date with new developments in their area of work and if necessary receive training or support to ensure that they develop.  The majority of the professional development undertaken is closely linked to the school priorities in the school improvement plan.

In view of the large amount of professional development carried out to date it is impossible to include everything here, but a summary of the professional development that went on in school last year is available from the school office.

All staff members have Performance Management interviews each year and whole school, personal and professional targets are agreed.  The school then supports staff in achieving these targets during the year.
