School Meals

There has been a big focus on healthy eating over the past year and we are beginning to alter the menus on offer to the children so that they can have a healthy, balanced meal each day.  Salads, pasta and roast dinners feature strongly and out have gone a lot of pre-formed meat products such as ‘turkey twizzlers’ and ‘snakes and ladders’.  Fruit is always on offer.

Children may have either a meal prepared on the premises, bring their own sandwiches or go home for their lunch. If you wish to alter any arrangement you have made please provide us with three days’ notice wherever possible. The School Meals service is provided by the DSO of Walsall MBC and is not connected to the school. They do not allow payments in arrears for lunches therefore payment in advance for any hot lunches is required. Dinner money is due each Monday morning before 9.30 am. This should be paid directly to the kitchen, selection of food and drinkswhich is situated at the rear of the Key Stage One playground.

Free School Meals are available to children whose parents are in receipt of Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance or Child Tax Credits. Application forms for free meals can be obtained from the school office and should be completed and returned as soon as possible, along with proof of the benefit being received.
