Headteacher's Statement

Dear Parents and Friends of the School,

Welcome to the Rough Hay Primary School Prospectus for 2005-6.

I do hope that in this prospectus you will find everything you need to know about the school – we have tried to include practical, everyday information as well as wider information about standards in the school and how we support the children’s social and emotional development while they are in school.

The year 2005 saw the publication of a very important Framework – Every Child Matters.  This framework aims to bring together all the agencies involved in supporting children and young people to achieve five key outcomes.  These are:

• To be healthy
• To stay safe
• To enjoy and achieve
• To make a positive contribution to society
• To achieve economic well-being
