What does the Governing Body do?
The Governing Body is there to support the school in all aspects of its work – whether it be maintaining a safe and attractive environment in which the staff and children can work or appointing new staff to the school.
The Governors meet termly for a full governing body meeting when they receive a report from the Headteacher on events and developments in school, as well as discussing any other important issues regarding any aspect of the school. There are also regular Finance, Premises and Personnel sub-committee meetings which look specifically at these areas on behalf of the full Governing Body.
The role of school governor is voluntary and their hard work and commitment is appreciated by the staff and children.
Parents are welcome to approach any member of the Governing Body should they have any concerns (or compliments) about the school.
